The Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) is currently seeking applicants for a non-tenure track, full-time Instructor of Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science. This position begins August 15, 2025 and includes teaching and service commitments over the 9-month academic year (August 15 – May 15). The appointment is for one academic year.
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science serves approximately 75 majors and 50 minors across programs in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Data Science. In addition, we teach many courses required by other majors across the university. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses such as Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus; other courses may be available depending upon qualifications and experience. Successful candidates must have an advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, before the appointment commences. They must be committed to excellence in teaching our diverse student population and to work to promote equitable and inclusive classrooms and collaboration spaces. Salary Range $68,500 - $79,000
