Job Description
Your Career
As an Instructional Designer at Palo Alto Networks, you will be instrumental in crafting and maintaining high-quality training programs for our Systems Engineering organization. Focused on both instructor-led and digital learning, your role will involve the entire training material lifecycle—from initial analysis to final release. By leveraging expertise from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and integrating crucial technical sales skills into the curriculum, you will ensure our Systems Engineers are well-equipped to succeed on a global scale. Your work will directly contribute to the professional growth of our team and the overall success of Palo Alto Networks.
Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Systems Engineering training programs, including instructor-led, virtual, and digital courses
- Apply advanced learning principles to create interactive and engaging content, utilizing animated visuals and graphic designs to enhance learning retention
- Ensure training material accuracy and relevance through collaboration with SMEs and sales teams
- Implement assessments to measure knowledge transfer and training effectiveness
- Stay updated with instructional technologies, incorporating them into course development
- Design engaging course content for skill transfer and sustained behavior change
- Understand Palo Alto Networks products deeply to create impactful training content
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 3+ years in Technical Instructional Design or a related role, with a proven track record in SE Enablement Programs
- Solid experience with sales and technical enablement, preferably within the networking, cloud, and IT security architecture domains
- Proficiency in creating virtual, classroom-based, and digital learning courses
- Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of sales engineers, especially in SaaS environments
- Experience with graphic design, video development (e.g., Camtasia), and multimedia presentations (PowerPoint, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Suite, Captivate)
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to network effectively at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into simple, universal explanations
- Capable of managing multiple projects with changing priorities, and receptive to feedback from collaborators and SMEs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible in a fast-paced environment
