As an Instructional Design Intern at the Barber National Institute (BNI), you’ll play a key role in developing innovative and engaging learning experiences that support employee performance, development, and compliance. Working cross-functionally with subject matter experts and internal teams, you’ll design and deliver high-quality instructional materials for diverse audiences across multiple service lines.

What You’ll Have:
• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or Instructional Technology.
• Foundational knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
• Experience using eLearning and design tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional best practices.
• Previous experience in instructional design, eLearning, or learning and development (through coursework or hands-on experience).
A Typical Day May Include:
• Partnering with subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments.
• Designing and developing instructional materials including eLearning modules, job aids, and instructor-led content.
• Creating multimedia learning tools such as infographics, software simulations, and video tutorials.
• Performing quality assurance and usability testing of training materials.
• Gathering and incorporating feedback from stakeholders to revise and improve content.
• Ensuring training materials align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Documenting and tracking design process using templates such as design documents and storyboards.
