Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.
We have an immediate direct-hire opportunity for an Inside Sales Engineer at our United States headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA.
In this role, you will play a vital part in achieving Busch’s growth objectives by supporting sales engineering, developing new business, and delivering technical solutions to customers. You’ll collaborate with outside sales, systems engineering, and marketing teams to support customers, recommend solutions, and help drive revenue.
This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with typical office hours of 8:00am–4:30pm.

Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing, inside sales, and outside sales on qualifying opportunities to further business development and sales
- Ask qualifying questions to understand customer’s application & vacuum requirements
- Facilitate vacuum solutions using intracompany resources including product and market managers as well as proprietary calculation tools
- Provide strong sales argument for Busch vacuum solution to meet customer’s vacuum and ROI needs (Increased productivity, utilities savings, space constraints, noise requirements)
- Effectively utilize CRM to organize open and pending quotations and actively follow-up in conjunction with outside sales team
- Assist outside sales team in understanding and identifying market and customer size to support sales strategy and development
- Coordinate after sales & service opportunities with service planners and field service technicians
- Facilitate transition and execution of order to systems engineering team and production team
- Process quotations in ERP and documents in CRM to provide visibility for sales teams
- Support customer service team quotations and processing orders, when required
- Strive for continual improvement and build strong knowledge base of Busch products, targeted applications, and vacuum principles
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
- Field of Study – Engineering Discipline: Preferred
- Early-career experience in engineering or sales engineering (0–3 years)
- General understanding of gas-dynamics and thermodynamics
- Experience in the vacuum pump industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM and ERP experience preferred (SAP a plus).

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
- Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
- Willingness to travel domestically for training
- Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
