Position Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Information Systems and Security Manager to lead the administration and security of our core Information systems. This role is responsible for managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Cloud/SaaS platforms, and our Azure-based Data Lake and Power BI environment. The position also serves as a redundant support role for the IT Manager, ensuring operational continuity and technical leadership.
In addition, this role will support the organization’s AI initiatives by collaborating with the IT Director to explore, implement, and maintain AI-driven solutions. This includes contributing to the development of AI tools, supporting AI infrastructure, and assisting with training and adoption across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 & Identity Management
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive - Manage user provisioning, licensing, and security policies in Microsoft 365 Admin Center - Maintain and secure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and on-prem Active Directory - Implement and monitor conditional access, MFA, and identity protection policies
Cloud & SaaS Infrastructure
- Oversee integrations and performance of key SaaS platforms - Manage Azure resources related to storage, networking, and compute - Support and maintain the Azure Data Lake and Power BI datasets, gateways, and dashboards
Cybersecurity Operations
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents - Conduct regular audits, vulnerability scans, and patch management - Maintain endpoint protection, email security, and firewall configurations - Assist with compliance initiatives and documentation (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
IT Support & Redundancy
- Serve as a backup to the IT Manager for escalated support and decision-making - Provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure and security-related issues - Document systems, procedures, and recovery plans to ensure business continuity
AI Initiatives & Support
- Collaborate with the IT Director on AI strategy and implementation - Support the development and deployment of AI tools and platforms - Assist with AI-related training and user adoption across departments - Maintain documentation and provide technical support for AI systems
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in Information systems administration and/or cybersecurity - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory - Familiarity with Azure services, Power BI, and cloud-based data environments - Working knowledge of cybersecurity tools and best practices
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Certifications such as Microsoft Security Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or Azure Administrator - Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
