Job Summary
Security and Safety and Special Programs Security provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets and enhance operational efficiency for the Corporation. You will serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (Information Assurance Specialist III/IV) responsible for interpreting and applying government customer policies.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our facility in Huntsville, AL.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You will interpret and apply policies regarding data handling, computers, and networks in collaboration with internal and National Security Space customers
- You will coordinate Aerospace and customer secure network activities with all stake holders throughout implementation, authorization, operation, maintenance, and disestablishment of these classified information systems
- Establish, implement, maintain, and monitor the overall security compliance posture of classified information systems under the Risk Management Framework
- Attain and maintain Collateral systems Assessment & Authorizations to Operate (ATO’s)
- Create and maintain Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) records for all collateral information systems
- Work with IC customer RMF processes commensurate with clearance level
- Utilize IC RMF tools such as SNOW, XACTA, SCAP and others to maintain collateral level assets if appropriate
- Lead the classified incident handling process and oversee the reporting and investigation of information system security related incidents
- Facilitate data transfers for users between systems of differing classification levels
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Information Assurance Specialist III:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with (3+) years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with (2+) years of relevant experience is required
- Security+ or equivalent a IAM level I DOD 8570 certification is required
- Experience with the RMF process, NIST 800-53, DAAPM, NISPOM, or related IA doctrine
- In-depth knowledge of computer operating systems is required
- Provide on-site support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and governmental policies and directives
- This position requires a current and active Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Information Assurance Specialist IV include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with (7+) years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with (5+) years of relevant experience is required
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of SCI and/or SAP environments combined with a strong background in information assurance
- A robust portfolio of systems managed through the complete RMF process, demonstrating proficiency in risk management and regulatory compliance
- Extensive expertise with eMASS, ensuring effective cybersecurity management and continuous monitoring
- Proven experience in providing incident response, including investigating and reporting classified messaging incidents
- Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency networks and protocols to support secure, mission-critical operations
- Possession of advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is highly desirable
- Outstanding project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and drive them to successful completion
