The Department of Economic Security, Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Information Security Analyst with The Data Security Unit. This position is responsible for reviewing all issues relating to the agency's data-sharing agreements and takes a major role or lead-related to data-sharing agreements which require policy, legal, regulatory, and technical analysis.
The position will require a current, valid Arizona Driver’s License. Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) and have an acceptable driving record in accordance with DES Fleet Management-Safety Program policy and procedures (DES 1-07-26 & DES 1-07-26-01). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.

• Work with external and internal partners to ensure that sharing of data is done in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and with proper contractual safeguards.
• Inquiries regarding data sharing agreement options, policies, and practices.
• Ensures cost recovery occurs, accurately and timely, for UI data sharing by invoicing data requesters and coordinating with the DERS budget section concerning proper receipt of requested payments.
• Assist with program audits related to data sharing agreement activity.
• Monitor, review, analyze, and implement information.
• Knowledge of data sharing policy, security, legal requirements, regulatory requirements, and administrative requirements.
• Experience in the management of both physical and logical information security systems.
• Knowledge and skills related to IT and telecommunications security trends and practices. Development of data security policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of directives and practices required to prepare internal and external data-sharing agreements.
• Skills in policy, legal, and regulatory research, writing, technical presentation, outstanding communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
