The Opportunity
Fisher Phillips is an international labor and employment law firm, and we are hiring an experienced Information Governance & Privacy Specialist to support the firm’s governance and privacy initiatives. With over 600 attorney's located in the United States and Mexico, and clients located all over the world, our information footprint and privacy requirements are extensive.
In this role, the Information Governance & Privacy Specialist will have the opportunity to work across various Information Governance and privacy principles as a valued member of the Information Governance team, with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Access Management. This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Information Governance to implement an integrated IG and privacy program designed to optimize the firm’s use of its information assets and ensure the firm’s information strategy aligns with regulatory, privacy requirements, and industry best practices.
This position is based in the firm’s Atlanta Corporate Office and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance at least one day per week. Position Responsibilities
- Assist the IG team in further developing and maintaining DLP and access management related processes.
- Manage DLP alerts and work with appropriate teams to resolve.
- Serve as the administrator for the applications supporting IG and Privacy operations.
- Manage the DLP rules and exceptions based on firm policy and regulatory requirements.
- Promote the adoption of the firm’s IG and privacy initiatives.
- Track and report on IG and privacy process metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in performing standardized review and audit processes for IG and privacy related policies and processes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Information Governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in an IT or DLP position.
