Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Info Tech, Computer Science, Eng, Business Admin or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years in an IT security env to include, but not limited to: Tech Risk Mgmt, IT policies & stds implementation & support, IT audit, tech ops & risk-based projects. Other Cert Info Sys Security Prof (CISSP) preferred. Other IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Proj Mgmt (PMP) preferred.

Position Purpose:

Security Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Gulfstream's assets, data & personnel by overseeing the daily operations of the security infrastructure. The manager is tasked with the development, implementation & management of security strategies that are aligned with the organization's objectives & risk tolerance. This role encompasses both the technical aspects of security systems & the leadership required. to manage teams, ensuring that security protocols are consistently observed & adapted to evolving threats.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Manage a team of professionals in testing & execution of Incident Response Plan (IRP) .
2. Initial assessment of a security incident to include coordination of the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) & other necessary internal parties to respond, contain & recover from security incidents .
3. Serve as point of contact for suspected & actual incidents .
4. Assist & guide in identifying response procedures .
5. Update Chief Info Sec Officer on incident investigation & findings .
6. Collect, document & preserve incident evidence .
7. Provide recommendations to prevent or reduce impact of future incidents .
8. Manage a team of info security (INFOSEC) professionals responsible for 24/7 monitoring of security events & alerts to identify potential threats .
9. Initiate, facilitate, & promote activities to create info security awareness within org .
10. Serve as an internal infosec subject matter expert to the org and advises about cybersecurity tech & related regulatory issues .
11. Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, & tech to maintain org defense mechanisms .
12. Coordinate with IT depts to integrate security measures with existing infrastructure & manage cybersecurity risks .
13. Conduct regular security assessments & audits, to include penetration testing, red, blue, & purple teaming to identify vulnerabilities & ensure compliance with sec standards & integrity of the enterprise .
14. Lead & train sec ops team, including hiring, performance eval & development .
15. Investigate security breaches or incidents, & implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences .
16. Collaborate with exec mgmt to align security initiatives with business goals & risk mgmt strategies .
17. Manage budgets & resources, including cost projections & justifications for security investments .
18. Communicate with stakeholders about security posture of the org & changes in the threat landscape .
19. Liaise with internal orgs such as Legal, HR, & Global Sec as well as law enforcement & other external agencies as needed during sec incidents or investigations .

Other Requirements:

1. 5 years in a leadership role within an IT or business area function(s) with exp in vendor/contract negotiations.
2. Solid knowledge of IT Risk Reg Landscape.
3. Practical knowledge of development lifecycles, as well as proj/prog mgmt concepts & controls.
4. Expert knowledge in current info sec methodologies & best practices.

A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
