GENERAL FUNCTION:

Cross-functional responsibilities for analyzing Consumer Indirect Credit applications and information across Indirect Lending, Direct responsibility to underwrite secured

Indirect installment loans, and function as lead system tester of upcoming system upgrades and fixes that impact the business line LOS. Provide superior quality service to internal and external

customers (Dealership and Finance & Insurance Managers, Dealer Development Representatives). Coach and mentor Indirect Lending Underwriters I-III and additional system testers by driving and implementing process improvements and best

practices, and training in new job responsibilities. Assist management with interviewing and hiring process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Work closely with the LOB Business Analyst to identify and prioritize system and testing needs.

- Plays a key role in the planning, testing and implementation of process and project enhancements and IT conversions. Ensures system enhancements follow the appropriate guidelines, meet or exceed user requirements and are completed in a timely fashion.

-May act as project leader role for projects.

- Partners with the relevant parties including LOB and IT in the research and resolution of system

and process problems.

- Identifies system enhancements, documents business needs and determines development impact

to current system processing. Works with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of

enhancements.

- Analyze consumer credit reports for Consumer Lending applications to evaluate risk and make appropriate credit decision for across multiple states, Affiliates and geographic regions.

- Review documents to support credit decision (verification of income, tax returns, personal financial statement, and additional supporting documentation, etc.).

- Order and review documents to underwrite within stated Consumer Lending Guidelines and applicable regulations, Dealer contracts and documents, etc.).

- Verifies completeness and accuracy of credit applications.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Possesses a broad understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

- Ability to multi-task and be flexible.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

- College degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.

- Minimum 5 years Consumer Lending or Financial Services industry experience.

- Minimum 3 year of Consumer Lending Underwriting experience.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain high performance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain strong relationships with dealers and Dealer Development Representatives.

- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.

- Ability to interact with Vice President level managers; build consensus; and motivate others.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

- Strong Computer skills.

- Strong working knowledge of ACAPS.

- Demonstrated ability to train and coach others.

- Willing to travel to other Credit Centers for training.
