Job Description

A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Voice and Conferencing solutions. Extensive experience with Cisco VoIP Solution and integration with Zoom or other collaboration solutions.   Working knowledge of network technologies and able to work with data communications team to deploy a collaboration solution that meets the needs of the client.  Understanding of educational environments is a plus.  Project work will include migrating from a Cisco VoIP solution to a Zoom implementation.

Technical skills:

• Understanding of configuration, implementation, and maintenance of additional Cisco Call Center based telephony (PCCE, UCCE & UCCX) and application infrastructure.
• Administration, configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of Cisco VOIP, UC (Webex and Telepresence), and Messaging platforms.
• Strong hands knowledge on of telephony dial plans and call routing, design, implementation, and call control routing protocols such as H.323, MGCP, and SIP
• Participate in operations optimization troubleshooting of Cisco Expressways 
• Solid understanding of TCP IP concepts and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, TFTP, NTP, and LDAP 
• Troubleshoot and resolve general Voice Unified Communications related issues with root cause analysis.
• Strong experience in Cisco and Zoom video endpoints. 
• Tier 3 troubleshooting skills, including voice quality and network QoS.
• Resolving standard and complex incidents, service requests, and problems.
• Working with Telecom providers and 3rd party hardware/software maintenance vendors.
• Lead troubleshooting with team, customers, and providers.
• Communicate Voice network status and provide quality documentation.
• Attend daily/weekly meetings and interact regularly with the customers management and engineering teams to constantly improve Voice/Collaboration Engineering services.
• Support of 24x7 business critical platforms and accounts during after-hours support

• Individual requires good communications skills with the ability to communicate and understand difficult concepts and communicate to developers the functional issues experienced.
• Ability to prioritize and achieve results while working on several simultaneous tasks and high-profile activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to assess a problem and quickly determine an effective course of action.
• Ability to develop documentation (technical and work level instructions).
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

• Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Voice Industry or Vendor Platform Certifications. CCNA, CCNP Voice or Collaboration or equivalent certification/training essential, CCIE written preferred.
• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a back ground clearance investigation.
• The position requires minimal travel. 10% travel throughout the US and International.
