That's where you come in! We're looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resource Technician II to be a crucial part of our HR team. Think of yourself as a guardian of smooth processes, ensuring everything runs seamlessly for the amazing individuals who serve our community every day.
About You
Our ideal candidate:
Perform quality control on all personnel transactions to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, career service rules, city charter and federal and state regulations
Schedule Human Resource related meetings
Assign and escalate HR Tickets ensuring DPL staff questions are assigned to the appropriate staff member and answered correctly and timely
Responsible for the management of our P-card and paying invoices promptly
Partner with Learning and Development to ensure New Employee Orientation runs smoothly
Monitor office supplies and other HR supplies to ensure inventory is kept in stock
Audit and reconcile all personnel transactions by identifying the desired result and codifying the request to ensure that all applicable rules, policies, and procedures are adhered to
Stay current with changes in related career service rules, employment laws, and procedures to ensure accurate processing of personnel transactions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal HR partners and external city agency clients and serve as a consultant and liaison to handle non-routine questions, resolve problems and misunderstandings
Educate internal and external customers on career service rules, OHR policies and practices
Assist with onboarding, I-9 verification, and compliance
Develop and continuously review internal processes and procedures to ensure continuous quality control of personnel transactions
Recommends, develops, and establishes, processes, procedures or instructions to meet specific needs and challenges for assigned human resource functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience in an administrative environment.
Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience r
