Position Summary

 

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Specialist is responsible for facilitating and supporting HR related functions on a professional level. Functional areas include recruitment, onboarding, leave administration, training, employee relations and engagement, data preparation, and legal compliance.

 

Compensation & Company Benefits

 

  • $26.00 - $30.00 / hr.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the hiring process including composition of job postings and advertisements, recruitment, screening of resumes, interviewing of candidates, communication of job offers, and pre-screening process.
  • Coordinate all aspects of onboarding new hires and conduct new hire orientations and trainings.
  • Oversee employee leave and benefits and communicate as needed with vendors and employees.
  • Assist with special projects, including compilation of data, data analysis, and report preparation/generation.
  • Handle employee questions/concerns by interpreting policies and procedures and resolving work-related problems.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment law.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and Federal, State employment law.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and remain professional.
  • Highly effective communication and positive relationship building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization.
  • A valid driver’s license.
