Salary Range:

Human Resources Operations Director, Grade 17, exempt, $170,900.13 - $121,850.99 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

This position provides support required for definition or redesign of macro- and microstructures and of relevant processes in the organization; manage assigned or agreed projects. Identify organizational set-ups and processes to enable to improve the structural effectiveness of the organization and of its departments and ensure their implementation within defined working groups. Identify and suggest operational mechanisms aimed at improving the organization's effectiveness and efficiency. Take part in and/or directly manage projects involving redefinition of macro-structures in agreement with users and submits solutions in line with the overall organization plan. Carry out organizational tests and simulations on the basis of organization goals, concerning structure efficiency and effectiveness as well as HR typology and motivation requirements.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist insights within a multidisciplinary team to evaluate the current-state organization, to develop and evaluate future-state organizational design propositions, and to clarify the costs and business benefits of change.
  • Manage a portfolio of major projects in line with overall project management strategy.
  • Lead the detailed design of projects within a transformational change program and manage their delivery, ensuring integration with related projects; use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors.
  • Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these tenets and do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues
  • Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives
  • Manage certain aspects of the internal communications system with some guidance from senior colleagues.
  • This could mean being responsible for the development or operation of the system.
  • Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
  • Implement the organization's formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility.
  • Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool.
  • Develop and manage the delivery of employee compensation structures and benefit programs, ensuring the needs of internal stakeholders are met and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage segments of the organization's technology implementation, implementing methods and promoting efficiency.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of employee relations cases, taking personal responsibility for unique, complex, and/or highly confidential cases that require deep investigation.
  • Take responsibility for developing and delivering a key element of the organization's data management system.
  • Develop functional or operational policies and help develop policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department.
  • Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Description:

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent level
  • Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (Over 10 years)
  • Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Over 3 years)
