Human Resources Manager

Copeland is looking for an on-site Human Resources Manager to support our new distribution location. In this role, you will be a founding member of the on-site leadership team and act as a true partner within the business. Based in our new Dallas, TX location, the Human Resources Manager role will enjoy an array of duties that will broaden your Human Resource skills and competencies. You will support an inclusive culture that emphasizes the values of safety and continuous improvement. This position assists leaders in optimizing people, strategy, structure and process, while supporting our culture and core values. You also will leverage your excellent people management skills to lead, coach and develop a small team of HR staff at the distribution center.
AS A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- Lead the Human Resources function, including but not limited to, talent management, learning & development, employee relations and engagement, rewards & recognition and HR operations
- Communicate and demonstrate the company’s core values by developing trust and respect among peers and associates, building strong teams and partnerships to drive results.
- Providing guidance and input regarding HR strategies that support the vision, culture and business needs of the organization
- Leading and driving the execution of all HR programs in partnership with business leaders
- Support the business in establishing and executing an effective talent strategy and working in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
- Inspiring, coaching and influencing in-the-moment culture to effectively improve the quality and frequency of developmental feedback and improve the overall employee experience
- Administering and providing coaching to business leaders in managing engagement survey results and developing meaningful and effective action plans to improve engagement results
- Driving the performance management program by ensuring performance expectations and policy guidelines are being met and are conducted effectively and in a timely manner
- Handling various employee relations issues, such as investigating employees’ complaints, resolving employee conflicts and advising appropriate action to leadership
- Effectively gauging KPIs to help create and optimize the overall staffing model
- Manager and Leverage data and KPIs to make data-driven decisions.
- You may also work on special projects that help drive continuous improvement throughout the distribution pyramid
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree required, with HR related major preferred, plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Experience leading a team of HR professionals
- Required knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
- Experience in completing HR processes, including salary planning, discipline, policy administration, ethics investigations and employee engagement initiatives
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively connect with senior leaders, internal customers, and the community
- Ability to produce quality results in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Related Master’s or MBA
- Ten (10) plus years of related experience
- Experience with organizational change and implementation of new HR systems & processes
- Copeland HR experience
- Open to relocation in the future for career growth and development
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred
- Experience in an industrial / manufacturing multi-location, global company
