Atrium Hospitality is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function at the vibrant Portland Holiday Inn. As the Human Resources Manager, you will provide essential administration, leadership support, and guidance on human resources policies, procedures, and practices. Serving as the central contact for HR information, you will navigate systems to ensure Atrium’s HR initiatives are effectively cascaded to management and associates while fostering Atrium’s culture and core values.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $68,000Bonus Eligible

The Human Resources Manager/Senior Human Resources Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
  • Act as key recruiter on property and lead full cycle recruiting efforts: review resumes/applications, partner with hiring managers, coordinate interview process, ensure positive candidate experience, manage pre-employment requirements, effectively manage the Workday applicant tracking system and compliance, and correlate job offer process.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.      
  • Workday Administration leader for talent acquisition, HRIS, performance, and compensation.                                 
  • Maintain training records and facilitate, develop and/or conduct training sessions that provide initial and ongoing training by working with the management team to ensure department and individual training is provided. Ensure compliance with brand and Atrium training requirements.
  • Performance management and development to include positive associate relations, appropriate feedback and coaching, performance review administration and compliance, and counseling and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain personnel files in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Onboard and orient associates.
  • Associate benefits administration, including conducting meetings as necessary to ensure all eligible associates are familiar with their benefit package and aware of the enrollment process.
  • Ensure property and timely handling of all unemployment claims
  • Administrator for Worker’s Compensation claims. Champion safety efforts on property. Coordinate facility efforts to ensure injured associates receive prompt medical attention. As necessary, maintain OSHA log in accordance with the act, correlate and communicate incident trends, and co-chair safety meetings.
  • Create and maintain open door policies to ensure open and transparent communication with the team.
  • Promote the Company culture and increase employee morale through associate recognition programs such as associate of the month and manager of the quarter, birthday and anniversary celebrations, rallies and other associate-focused events.
  • Develop community relationships in alignment with our Corporate Social Responsibility pillars and inclusion commitment.
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Required Prior Experience:

3-5 years of Human Resources experience as an HR leader with broad HR Generalist skills.

Working knowledge and practice of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, COBRAT, etc. and understanding of state and federal law

Preferred Prior Experience:

Hospitality experience

Prior experience implementing HR strategies and initiatives

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’ Degree in related field of study; or equivalent experience

HR Certification active or in process
