Position Overview
This position supports HR corporate operations for the Shared Services employee population. The role supports critical HR functions including recruiting and onboarding, records management, HRIS/HCM, reports, employee relations, risk management, workers’ compensation, leaves of absences, employee engagement initiatives, and meeting/event planning. The ideal candidate will deliver operational excellence to drive continuous improvement of HR processes while fostering a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support critical HR functions including recruiting and onboarding, records management, HRIS/HCM, reports, employee relations, risk management, and employee engagement initiatives
Oversee termination and offboarding processes to ensure compliance and positive employee experience
Process employee changes in the HCM system
Respond to and follow-up on employee medical incidents or injuries
Submit workers’ compensation claims in a timely manner, handling follow up inquiries from claims administrator
Compile and maintain personnel files; manage records retention in accordance with company policy and all applicable laws
Maintain physical and electronic HR documents and files
Monitor and update labor law posters to maintain compliance
Provide assistance with employee relations issues, investigations, and related matters
Administer leaves of absences in accordance with all applicable regulations, laws, and company policies
Respond to unemployment claims and related inquiries
Assist with the coordination of Operations Center meetings, employee functions, and other special events
Coordinate the payment of HR invoices
Handle all forms of incoming and outgoing mail and responds where needed.
Maintain department reports as required
Assist with special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred; High School diploma/GED required
3+ years’ progressively responsible HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
- Intermediate level skill in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR technology including HCM systems
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and results orientation
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
- Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization
