Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and confidential manner, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Work as business partner to understand stakeholders needs; and provide guidance on human resources topics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to assess staffing and training needs.
  • Support the full recruitment cycle, including but not limited to job fairs, job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the IWTP (Incumbent Workforce Training Program) grant writer, vendors, and internal stakeholders to schedule training classes.
  • Monitor IWTP program requirements to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Maintain training activities on the LMS (Learning Management Systems).
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure feedback is addressed.
  • Update KPIs and HR metrics.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Support the hourly performance appraisal process by providing guidance to managers and employees
  • Support on employee investigations.
  • Maintain personnel files and database, ensuring compliance with records retention policies and regulations.
  • Actively participate in engagement initiatives, special events, HR marketing and communications.
  • Update and maintain ERP (SAP) master data as required.
  • Willingness to collaborate on any other tasks assigned within the HR department to support company goals. This may include assisting in special projects, cross-functional efforts, or covering for team members as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a Human Resources related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources and preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Knowledge of SAP (HCM module), LMS and Success Factors preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Accurate, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to analyze and resolve critical situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
