Job Description

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. In this role, you will align and deploy business objectives and people-centric strategies in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. The position requires creating partnerships across the Human Resources department to deliver value-added service to leadership and associates that reflects Lakeshore’s overall objectives. Applicants should have a sharp business acumen as well as excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills. And we’re here to help you succeed—in 2022 Lakeshore earned its Great Place to Work® Certification™ and is proud to put its associates first.

A day in the office looks like this:

  • Partnering with leaders in designated business functions to create and execute the talent strategy for their teams, including org structure, change management, hiring, recognition and engagement
  • Coaching leaders to achieve thoughtful and meaningful results via day-to-day guidance on performance management
  • Engaging in team and one-on-one meetings; providing insights into interpersonal dynamics, talent trends, culture and solutions
  • Championing the deployment of HR initiatives developed by HR Centers of Excellence—such as Total Rewards, DEIB, Ops/HRIS, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Communications and Employee Engagement—to ensure successful implementation and a continual feedback loop that includes recommendations for enhancements
  • Managing and resolving complex employee-relations issues; conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations team to ensure equity and comprehensiveness
  • Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance
  • Partnering with Lakeshore’s Legal department and internal HR team as needed

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in an HRBP or similar HR role, working with leaders at all levels of the organization including C-suite
  • Ability to explain a company’s business model along with its challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to provide specific examples about your role in solving a business challenge, as well as to demonstrate working knowledge of change management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and help others do the same by turning data into useful information; an aptitude for analyzing data and finding the story behind the numbers and facts
  • Demonstrated ability of being highly engaged in the business you’re supporting and understanding what levers to pull to achieve results and build strong, productive relationships.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of an organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and administrative practices
  • Previous experience in supporting Finance, IT or Operations teams a huge plus
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and ability to operate with a high-level of autonomy in changing and fast-paced environments where you will exert your influence and make sound recommendations that help to drive the business forward.
