Zwicker is presently seeking a Human Resources Benefits and Compensation Specialist to join our team. The employee benefits and compensation specialist position assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions, completes and verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, ensures compliance with required benefit notices and builds, researches and administers compensation programs.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 per year.
Responsibilities include
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), wellness benefits and COBRA.
- Conduct benefits orientations and open enrollment, including managing benefit meetings, working with vendors and updating and maintaining benefits platform system.
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately into HRIS for payroll deduction.
- Assist employees with benefit claims and responding to vendors on benefit inquiries.
- Verify and perform self-invoicing calculation of the monthly premium statements for group supplemental insurance policies and resolve administrative problems with the vendor and broker representatives.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements and communicate to state agencies and broker, as needed.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims and work with adjustors.
- Prepare and maintain employee reports, complete benefits reporting requirements and ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Administers compensation programs including the development and maintenance of base salary ranges and assists with managing multiple bonus programs for the organization.
- Maintains pay structures and conducts ongoing analysis to ensure overall competitiveness, consistency, and pay equity, as well as budgetary adherence of those structures.
- Proactively monitors trends and updates related to minimum wage increases, processes change and notifies leaders of updates and provides costing analysis of financial impacts of those adjustments.
- Provides support with annual pay increase cycles, including auditing, analyzing and calculating data.
- Assists in administration of yearly compensation audits, as necessary to ensure regulatory compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act and pay equity considerations.
- Builds strong workflows and documentation of compensation practices in close collaboration with other HR support teams.
- Closely collaborates with HRBP and Talent Acquisition partners, as well as people managers to provide support with compensation-related inquiries, providing analysis and recommendations to support consistent application of pay decisions across all levels of the organization.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits and compensation administration.
- Bachelors in Human Resources or equivalent preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Prior knowledge of employee benefits and compensation programs and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, particularly Excel.
