Scope/Purpose of the Position

The HR Assistant at Bakerly Barn, plays a vital role in supporting our human resources department in its daily operations. From conducting new hire orientation, maintaining accurate records to facilitating employee communication and recognition, you'll contribute to creating a positive and productive work environment. Your dedication to upholding our values will help us continue to grow and achieve success. The HR Assistant also serves as a liaison between the human resources department and employees for effective communication and conflict resolution.

Requirements

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

· Maintain accurate human resource files, records, documentation, and confidentiality.

· Assist employees with inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

· Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents.

· Assist in organizing and executing company events, meetings, and employee recognition programs.

· Manage time and attendance records, including FMLA tracking and LOA management.

· Fully manage the administration of the employee Unpaid Time Off (UPT) policy.

· Support the onboarding process for new hires, facilitating orientation sessions.

· Input new employees into the HRIS system and complete the E-Verify process.

· Creating and deactivating employee key fobs and ensuring security for incoming and exiting employees.

· Provide support to employees, including assisting with Paylocity access and password resets, ect.

· Coordinate communication with supervisors and managers regarding various matters including birthday round tables, employee spotlights, overtime hours, and upcoming events.

· Ensure the delivery and completion of all new hire and training surveys.

· Tracking of employee training hours

· Provide semi-annual attendance award notification to the hourly production team members and advisement to payroll to issue award.

· Update and maintain HR Boards, forms, and communication throughout the facility


 

Job Qualification Requirements

· Associate degree in human resources, or a related field preferred, but not required.

· 0-2 years of experience in a human resources role or related field.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or related software.

· Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is preferred.

· Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs/ladders).

· Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies, machine parts and tools.

· Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
