Human Resources Assistant

• General:
  • The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Human Resources and Safety/Training teams. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: temporary staffing, employee relations, and safety/training.
• Position Description:

Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties:

• • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR and Safety departments.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation for temporary employees.
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, contact information, and incidents. 
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees upon hire.
  • Liaise with employees, supervisors, managers, co-workers in problem resolution.
  • Submit temporary employee payroll and reports to corresponding temporary staffing agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

• Education & Experience:
  • Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing (plant) environment (required)
  • Graduation from high school (required)
  • Prior experience in HR
• Other Requirements:
  • Skills: active listening, reading comprehension, speaking, writing, critical thinking
  • Exposure to usual noise associated with equipment and plant environment.
  • Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as heat, cold, dust, fumes, vapors, or mists.
  • Working knowledge to use Microsoft Office suite, HRIS & other application considered​​​​​​​
