Job Summary:
The HR Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily HR activities, with a strong emphasis on HRIS data entry and maintenance, auditing employee licensure and credentials, and supporting benefits-related processes.
The HR Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for incoming calls to the main HR line and will greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Additional responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing mail, coordinating employee and company events (such as retirements), scheduling interviews, assisting with recruitment and outreach events, and ordering office supplies. This is a well-rounded support role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in HR operations.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- Experience using computers and office systems, including filing and maintaining records.
- Prior experience in human resources, HRIS systems, or event coordination preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and auditing tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with HR software or systems is a plus.
