Description
DRMP is seeking an experienced and service-oriented HR Specialist to support our employees across a variety of HR functions, with a primary focus on employee benefits administration, leave of absence (FMLA/LOA), and immigration support.
This role will serve as a key resource for employees and managers, ensuring accurate program administration, compliance, and a positive employee experience. In addition to benefits and leave responsibilities, this position will assist with other HR-related initiatives as needed.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Support annual open enrollment, benefit communications, and employee education
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution
- Coordinate with benefit vendors and brokers to ensure smooth program delivery
Leave of Absence & Compliance (FMLA/LOA)
- Manage leave of absence processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, short-term disability, and other LOA types
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies
- Track leave cases, documentation, and employee status changes in HR systems
- Partner with managers to provide guidance on leave-related situations
Immigration Support
- Coordinate employment-based immigration case processing in partnership with legal counsel and internal stakeholders
- Assist with visa tracking, documentation, and employee communications
- Maintain compliance with immigration-related policies and recordkeeping requirements
Additional HR Support
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities
- Support HR operations, process improvement, and special projects
- Provide general HR support including policy guidance and employee inquiries
- Collaborate with the HR team to support engagement and retention initiatives
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of HR experience with strong emphasis on benefits and leave administration
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, LOA processes, and benefits compliance
- Experience supporting immigration processes strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service orientation
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or interest in obtaining)
- Experience in a multi-location or professional services environment
- Familiarity with vendor management and HR compliance practices
