POSITION SUMMARY

 The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for the daily recruiting efforts of the organization. As the HR Recruiter/Generalist, you will support an employee’s full lifecycle through sourcing of candidates, onboarding, new hire orientation and employee retention programs, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for employees of Cumberland Heights. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Director of Human Resources.

           

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include some or all of the following:

  • Administers the recruiting process including attracting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers (verbal or written), initiating reference assessments, initiating and reviewing background and drug screening, tracking the status of each applicant daily. 
  • Source candidates through a variety of methods including online job boards, social media, networking, advertising, email blasts, referrals and internal transfer/promotion. 
  • Build a talent pipeline by continuously sourcing and recruiting candidates for current and future organizational-wide staffing needs, within the approved budget and position control. 
  • Manage the requisition process through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); ensure regulatory aspects of the recruitment process are compliant with company policy and federal/state legislation. 
  • Provide a high-level candidate experience by responding to questions professionally and timely and assisting/coordinating any other candidate needs. 
  • Provide all pre-employment documents to candidates via HRIS to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager(s) and/or other human resources personnel during the onboarding process. 
  • Assist in hosting new hire orientations in coordination with the Staff Development Coordinator. 
  • Build and develop business relationships to gain industry knowledge, referrals and leads.
  • Attend networking events to build contacts and source new talent; events may include career fairs, professional conferences, college visits, etc.  
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, talent acquisition tools and share best practices with the team.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of general HR policies, procedures, and practices such as progressive discipline, Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and Workers Compensation. 
  • Assists in off-boarding process for exit interviews. 
  • Researches and recommends employee programs to the Leadership Team, as well as administers these programs through Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other support systems.
  • Lead and aid in planning and coordinating employee engagement events.
  • Serves on a variety of administrative committees, including Wellness, Safety and Employee Events.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director of HR and/or Executive Leadership team.
  • Maintains personnel records and relevant documentation necessary to meet legal and regulatory body standards.
  • Assist with gathering information for internal and external audits to ensure compliance. 
  • Ensures that a welcoming and safe working environment is present throughout the organization
  • Recommends ways to improve the quality and delivery of services.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and company information,
  • Reacts productively to change.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in HR Management/Business Administration or related field (event planning or hospitality) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years human resources experience in healthcare fie
