Job Description
Job Summary
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Office of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities

Greet guests to HR and is a gatekeeper of flow other HR team members.

Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

Processes HR paperwork, gathering information, logging requests and obtaining approvals.

Logs all invoices and prepares payment requests for approval.

HR filing while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of personnel files and records.

Provides clerical support to the AVP of HR and department.

Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

May be assigned to applicant tracking, coordinating pre-hire check and verifications.

May be assigned to I-9 processing, filling, audits and E-verify completion.

Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

It is the employee and supervisor’s shared responsibility to regularly meet to discuss performance, suggest job description updates and set mutually beneficial goals.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and institutional goals.
