About the role

SOCi, the CoMarketing Cloud for Multi-Location Enterprises, is currently looking for an HR Operations Specialist.

The HR Operations Specialist is tasked with a variety of HR Operations processes including the primary responsibility being payroll, accurately executing payroll procedures, managing the contractor management system (Deel.com), and ensuring contractor payments are accurate. The HR Operations Specialist will also handle on and offboarding procedures that impact compliance, benefits, and payroll.

The role encompasses reviewing promptly, addressing inaccuracies, and responding to employee inquiries about wages. This position also involves maintaining detailed records and collaborating on payroll-related tasks such as 401K contributions and employment verifications.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Process and manage payroll procedures accurately.
  • Maintain Deel EOR system and contracts, and ensure contractor payments are accurate and updated.
  • Ensure adherence to compensation and tax regulations.
  • Review timesheets and attendance records, addressing inaccuracies.
  • Assist in preparing paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Handle employee queries about wages.
  • Stay informed about state and federal payroll and tax laws.
  • Perform regular audits on payroll procedures and records.
  • Maintain records and reports related to payroll, employee information, timesheets, benefits, salaries, leave, taxes, and deductions.
  • Assist with balancing and posting payroll 401K contributions.
  • Assist HR Services with termination calculations and approve status change compensation changes.
  • Provide assistance with employment verifications, including wage information.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Remote Opportunity: Ability to work 100% remotely 
  • Must Have:  
    • 3 - 5 years broad HR experience
    • 3 - 5 years of payroll processing experience
    • Excel experience
    • Experience in a fast-growing tech company
    • Willing to adapt to changes in the job description as deemed necessary by the business and accept all other duties as assigned
  • Desired Skills (but not required):  
    • Paylocity
    • Deel
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
