The Opportunity
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP is a talent strategist and influential partner that helps leaders nurture and enhance our performance culture and execute on our overarching business and people strategy.
The HRBP must be able to work independently, establish and execute long- and short-term talent strategies while taking a hands-on approach, and interface effectively with professionals at all levels. You'll need excellent communication, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to function in an innovative and ambiguous environment. You'll need strong analytic skills and the ability to translate your clients’ business plans and goals into the human resource capabilities needed to achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to develop their talent strategy to support business growth while maintaining an engaging, respectful, and fun work environment
- Support the talent acquisition function across admin, marketing, sales, and other non-technical areas.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, performance management and skills assessment and development
- Coach business partners in career development, leadership, and management practices
- Assist in the development and implementation of people plans and solutions to achieve people initiatives and deliver results and a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow
- Provide compensation support to leaders for all salary actions including the annual salary review, promotions, and job re-leveling situations
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Reports directly to the Sr. Director Human Resources and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience including expertise in talent management, performance management, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree Preferred.
