As part of the rapid growth of our Insurtech company, the HRBP Americas acts as a strategic partner and trusted coach creating value for our business through a functional expertise in Human Resources. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas: organizational design, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, culture & engagement, policy implementation, employment law compliance. This position will report to the Head of HRBP.
What You’ll Do
HRBP: Whether it’s rolling out new HR programs and policies, supporting employee development, or helping the Head of HRBP with organizational design, you are a trusted advisor for our Go To Market, Marketing, Delivery and IT/Infra teams in the Americas (US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico). You’ll partner with these teams to help deliver strategic HR programs, foster a performance mindset that positively impacts business results.
People Operations: As the expert for the Americas, you are responsible for HRIS data entry and integrity, benefits enrollment, Employee Relations, local employment handbook and policies, immigration processing, onboarding, and oversee payroll in collaboration with our payroll partner, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws.
Cross Functional HR Programs: You’ll partner with our Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Workplace and Culture, and the other HRBPs on innovative initiatives to help scale Shift and position us as an Employer of Choice.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements

2-3 years as an HRBP or as an HR advisor, with at least 1 year experience with US employment law and compliance

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build relationships at all levels of the organization, with evidence of teamwork, collaboration and confidentiality

High-learning agility, open minded, and thrives in a high growth and fast paced, dynamic environment

This role can be fully remote within the US or hybrid in our Boston office. Preferred working time zones are US Eastern and Central time.
- Salary range $65,000-85,000 (compensation will be determined based on location and relevant experience)
