Job Summary:
As a member of the Human Resources (HR) department, reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangement, 401K Plan, and the agency Retirement Plan. Requires up to date knowledge about ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA and other benefit related regulations and ability to ensure compliance. The Benefits Coordinator regularly presents information about benefits to new employees in small and large group settings.
Communicate regularly with internal and external customers requiring professional and confidential behavior. Provide the right balance of education and guidance for employees about benefit options. The Benefits Coordinator works in a fast paced, compliance driven environment and requires strong communication, accuracy, attention to detail, good judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational institute in the field of Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Benefits Management or agreed equivalent that supports high quality implementation of our program as determined by the agency.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in benefits administration including orientation of new employees and new participants to the benefit programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Submit a current AZ Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to start date.
