This is a hybrid role that requires a partial commute into our main office in New York or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.
Department & Position Overview:
The HR Associate will be an intricate part of the People Business Partner team at FreedomCare. This role will support and learn many aspects of the People Business Partner/HR/ER work while collaborating to drive processes and support a great culture as we continue to grow and evolve.
Everyday You Will:
This role will touch all aspects of administrative support for the People Business Partners, helping to drive timely, effective HR collaboration and a positive work environment. Including the following, but not limited to:
- Own the maintenance of our electronic employee files
- Conduct exit interviews and package highlights
- Support activities during merit and promotions cycles as needed
- Manage and prepare and send offboarding emails
- Provide follow-up on issues and provide outreach to internal client groups as needed
- Prepare drafts of severance/separation agreements
- Coordinate documentation for immigration needs
- Initiate updates on the People Business Partner SharePoint sites
- Schedule meetings with internal stakeholders
- Work on various projects
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience working in a Human Resources function; minimum 5 years of total work experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Solid working experience anticipating next steps and taking initiative to get work done.
- Solid working or advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Canva a plus
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of HR practices
- Must be highly organized to give proper attention to all items that require attention
- Must be flexibility with the ability to switch gears based on business need
- Ability to take initiative and follow through after initial delegation
- Ability to prioritize conflicting deliverables
- Must be able to clearly communicate (live, virtually and in writing) to a wide variety of groups
- Ability to be proactive on process flow and work to desired outcomes
- Curious, humble, excited to learn and contribute in a team environment
