We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our team in Houston Texas.
Partnering with Hiring Leaders, the HR Advisor is accountable for providing strategic HR operational advisory support and guidance across a broad range of HR subject areas while building effective relationships with clients and employees.
What You Will Do:
- Provide frontline coaching, advice, recommendations, and communications to assigned client groups, for a broad range of HR subject areas including employee relations items, workforce planning, budgeting, implementation of HR standard methodologies, performance management, talent management, total compensation and employee engagement.
- Ensures consistent implementation and interpretation of Human Resource Policies, practices and guidelines to achieve legislative compliance.
- Counsel Leaders on proactive leadership and human resources strategies to create a productive and cooperative work environment that enhance employee engagement and facilitate the achievement of business goals.
- Coach and mentor client leaders to manage employee issues including performance management and attendance.
- In partnership with our Compensation team, provide expert advice on job descriptions and job evaluations of new/or changed roles.
- Work closely with HR Talent Acquisition team to create and implement sourcing strategies for internal clients.
Who You Are:
Required:
- Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management
- 4+ years of directly related experience as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner
- 4+ years of direct experience in employee relations, strategic planning with hiring leaders, resolving HR issues while providing expert advice in HR policies and labor laws.
- Previous Oil and Gas, Construction, Field Management experience
- Certified HR professional designation (CPHR, PHR or SHRM)
- Proven ability to define obstacles, establish alternatives and recommend solutions within a context of strategic business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation and facilitation.
- High degree of flexibility to adapt to multiple and competing priorities and ability to handle critical and complex situations with sound judgment, tact and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent attention to details and organizational skills.
