OVERVIEW

Responsible for the prompt recognition and seating of all guests and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. Responsible for assisting the cashier in the collection of payment for all guest transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
• Provide guests with menus.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls. 
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages.
• Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers’ concerns are addressed.
• Receive and record patrons’ dining reservations.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features.
• Assist other restaurant workers by serving food and beverages or by bussing tables.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required

OTHER

Consistent attendance in accordance with the standards set forth by Resolute Road Hospitality must be maintained and is an essential element of success in this role. If the Host/Hostess is unable to meet these requirements, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action based on management operating policies, up to and including termination of employment.
