Position: Hospice Float RN 

Location: Benton Franklin County 

Type: Full Time Non-Exempt

Anticipated Schedule:  Variable 8 or 12 hour shifts including some nights and weekends

Position Overview:

The Hospice Float Registered Nurse (Float RN) provides comprehensive nursing care across multiple roles within the agency, ensuring continuity and quality of care for hospice patients. This position is flexible and will support various functions, including but not limited to Hospice Direct Patient Care, Intake, Triage, Admission, and Case Management.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington State. 

2. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

3. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS) 

4. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. 

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. 

6. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. 

7. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients' homes, facilities, and community locations. 

8. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State. 

9. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health 

Preferred Qualifications:

1. One year of hospice, palliative, or home health experience.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $37.67/hour - $57.22/hour 

$3000 Sign on Bonus: New hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of

continuous employment in good standing.

Premiums:

· $2.50/hour Weeknight

· $2.25/hour Weekend day

· $4.75/hour Weekend Night

· $4.00/hour On Call Standby

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.
