The Opportunity
We are hiring a Hardware in the loop Automation Software Engineer to significantly improve our integrated connectivity testing and validation capabilities across multiple platforms, aerial and ground based. As an engineer for your discipline you will be tasked with challenging set-ups and design automation across multiple wireless standards (WiFi and Cellular mostly). The position assumes full ownership of the automation set-up, establishing metrics and monitoring test results. You will be collaborating with RF, Systems, device SW and cloud engineering team members who would support the creation of these set-ups.
Please note: While we are a remote first company and the typical work week can be conducted remotely, this position will require 25-30% travel to our HQ in Atlanta, GA.
The Skillset
We're looking for an Engineer with the following skillsets:
MSc or BSc degree in computer Science or Electrical Engineering
1-3 years of experience in cellular software work (MAC layer and above) Experience in C, C++ and Python is required
Familiarity with 3GPP standard.
Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to work with a cross-functional team and drive for timely project success
Knowledge and experience with commercial connectivity devices to include Mobile and IoT devices
Nice to have:
Knowledge in other wireless standards namely 802.11
Experience with wireless products and general software stack of these products
Familiarity with databricks, Snowflake or similar database software

Get familiar with Flock Safety Products and configurations
Install SW development tools and setup build environments
Create a call between a carrier and a drone
Review design and establish an end to end design with their HW
The First 60 Days
Architecture for multi-link ration and aggregation
Start end to end design using multiple radios
90 Days & Beyond
Continue with enhancing the End to end architecture document
Demonstrate a full drone operation with an actual flight
