Salary Range: XXX - XXX annually (salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
NY Positions: A 5% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.
San Francisco, CA Positions: A 10% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in San Jose, CA, and San Francisco, CA, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.

Job Summary:

Prepare, review and present general and/or discipline (civil, construction distributables) estimates in heavy civil, airport, light rail businesses. Perform historical data analysis. Supports estimate reporting and reviews.

Major Responsibilities:

The following duties are performed with respect to Estimate Execution:

Performs quantity takeoffs for a discipline or commodity specialty using defined documents. Collects, reconciles, and verifies data for summary comparisons.
Prepares portions of estimates by contacting project team and others, including vendors, to develop and apply unit rates and installation rates to quantity takeoffs and work operations within a discipline or other specialty.
Produces cost estimates using crew-based approach including formation of crews from multiple crafts.
Provides input to estimate basis documentation capturing assumptions, rationale, scope inclusions and exclusions for specific contributions.
Create estimate summary presentations for estimate reviews.
Present estimate packages to Management during reviews.
Provides support for special estimating and other assignments, including post-Proposal support converting the estimate to a budget (budgeting, revenue loading, data entry and collection, etc.)

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, business management or related field OR minimum of 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Estimating or Project Controls.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Advanced level of expertise in the use of MS Word and MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of project controls concepts, processes and procedures specifically project schedules, work breakdown structure and budgets.
Experience with heavy civil estimate development.
Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability to present cost inform
