Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Health Information Management Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the Student Health Services applications and revenue cycle needs within the electronic health records (Point and Click and e-Clinical Works) and other systems utilized by the SHS Clinic.
Post payments and process account updates in electronic health records.
Run reports from Point and Click and e-Clinical Works.
Utilize Medicat system to upload immunization documents and assist students with using the system.
Serve as a backup to support the Front Desk operations, as needed.
Assist with the development and implementation of business policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with accounting principles and insurance regulation.
Run reports from electronic health records and other systems to support the department key performance metrics. This involves collecting and displaying information on a variety of department functions, with historical comparisons, to inform a variety of management decisions, strategic planning and other leadership team functions.
Coordinate and assist with special accounting business documents and financials.
Assist with researching and analyzing business documents and financials.
Must comply with a federal, state, and university regulations and statutes, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Works to foster and maintain a collaborative, engaging, and positive work environment for all students and staff.
Participates in assessment, accreditation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Participates in activities, like outreach events, tabling, and flu clinics, both internal and external to SHS, in order to champion the health of the college student population, advance the mission of SHS, and support the missions of the Division of Student Affairs and Florida Atlantic University.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
