The Corporate Real Estate Function is responsible for coordinating, integrating and administering a range of diverse real estate functions to support the safety and resiliency of the Bank’s operations. The Bank’s real estate portfolio is approximately 1.6 million square feet consisting of three owned assets two of which are 24 x 7 mission critical facilities. Areas of responsibility include planning, managing, repairing and maintaining the Bank's facilities, infrastructure and grounds to ensure the safety and security of the Bank's employees, customers, visitors, tenants and property.
Your role as Head of Workplace Strategy:
The Head of Workplace Strategy leads a team of 6 and has a span of responsibility associated with the management of the real estate portfolio of the NY Fed inclusive of its strategic orientation with the Bank and workplace strategy.
Support real estate strategic planning, design and project management with responsibility for operational planning, capital budgets and forecasting of the real estate project portfolio.
Oversee real estate design and space allocations for a 1.6 million square foot portfolio housing approximately 3,200 staff, managing overall office layout, interior design, ergonomics and all aspects of office aesthetics. Oversee the space allocation program and evaluate and advance metrics on utilization, occupancy and space usage.
Lead and direct FRBNY meetings, tasks forces, workgroups, etc., pertaining to issues relevant to Real Estate, and provide thought leadership to various levels of the organization. Represent the FRBNY when dealing with the Board of Governors, other Reserve Banks, and various external entities.
Build relationships and maintain effective communication and coordination between the department, other Bank departments, other Reserve Banks, the Board of Governors, vendors, industry groups, and/or other external customers while ensuring the interests of the division, district, and System are served.
What we are looking for:
Experienced leader with corporate real estate, project management, workplace design, and controls acumen and experience in capital improvement management or in leading the planning, design and construction of mission critical facilities.
Experience in real estate strategy or workplace design roles with strong analytical abilities to assess project performance.
Financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, cost control, and managing project expenses.
Experience building and managing diverse teams. Demonstrated leadership skills across people management, complex problem management, collaboration, influencing, decision making, judgement and project execution.
Leader with proven ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate complex problems to senior stakeholders and executives.
Salary Range: $210000 - $270000 / year
