Your role in our team 

• You will manage a cross functional engineering and manufacturing team focused on internal development projects for new product creation, refinement, and testing of automated packaging machinery
• Make personnel decisions including, hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to department staff
• Manages department budgeting and scheduling
• You will plan department structure and staffing
• Develop, implement, and monitor department processes and standards to maintain and improve operational efficiency
• Lead design and testing efforts by reviewing product development requirements, generating new and innovative design concepts, overseeing the building and testing of prototypes
• Perform liaison function between R&D Engineering and all other departments for any related issues, problems or improvements
• You will maintain a clean and safe work area everyday
• Show a strong eagerness to learn and a positive attitude everyday
• Attend and participate in company meetings in person and remotely

 

Your profile 

• You have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• Minimum of four years design engineering experience required
• You display strong skill level in design software
• Knowledge of packaging processes
• You are able to interpret complex documents and drawings, make effective and persuasive arguments, and think ahead and plan over a 1 – 2 year time span
• You display great leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to get results through others
• Demonstrate to be a strong team player
• You are able to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and work with minimal supervision
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Able to communicate clearly (written and verbal)
• You show a commitment to company values and vision
• Strong customer focus
