We are an ambitious, quickly expanding team looking for a Head of Production that can help us create integrated global campaigns.   • Overview. As Head of Production, you will oversee the team producing all agency ad productions—ranging from $10,000 rapid-response shoots to $2.5M sophisticated, integrated campaigns. You’ll lead and scale our production capabilities, manage a team of Senior Producers, and help shape the operational backbone of our production process through playbooks, systems, and vendor relationships. You’ll be a key member of the creative leadership team, collaborating across departments to bring ambitious, integrated creative campaigns to life on time and on budget.
  • Location: on site 3 days a week in either NYC, DC, or CHI 
  • Salary Range : $165,000 - $180,000

You will:

  • Oversee all aspects of 360 integrated advertising production across a wide spectrum of budgets, timelines, and complexities
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Senior Producers, ensuring high performance and development
  • Build and maintain a deep, trusted network of directors, production companies, crew, editors, and post-production partners
  • Develop and implement scalable production playbooks, templates, and processes to streamline workflows and drive operational excellence
  • Partner closely with Creative, Account, and Strategy leads to ensure seamless execution from brief through delivery
  • Scope, bid, and manage productions with clarity and precision
  • Lead and negotiate production contracts, usage rights, insurance, permits, and other logistical needs in partnership with our Business Affairs, Legal and Contracts teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor and creative problem-solving partner to Clients, Creative and Account teams in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
  • Travel to set to oversee key productions on an as-needed basis (estimated 20–30%)

Requirements

You Bring

  • 10–15+ years of advertising production experience, including at least several years of leadership in an agency setting
  • Proven track record managing productions of varying scale, from nimble doc-style shoots to high-end commercial work
  • Experience across the full production lifecycle—pre-pro, production, post, delivery
  • Deep knowledge of budgeting, bidding, vendor negotiations, and production legalities
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a passion for mentoring producers
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Collaborative, communicative, and solutions-oriented with a can-do mindset
  • Strong creative instincts and a love for great storytelling

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with brand reputation, public affairs, or issue-driven work
  • Familiarity with international or multilingual production
