The Head of Enterprise Data Enablement is responsible for connecting the Equifax global data teams to support the enterprise data strategy. At Equifax, Data Enablement includes control-oriented activities to ensure regulatory compliance, data privacy, etc., and also the the roles, operating model (e.g., data ownership), and framework that enables data to be acquired, managed, and used optimally and in support of the data strategy that enables our business.

What You Will Do

  • The Head of Enterprise Data Enablement will report to the Global Enterprise Data Officer, and lead global teams through our center of excellence structure.

  • Work with global business units to define enterprise-wide roles & responsibilities, operating model, and decision rights required for the enterprise data strategy – balancing flexibility of federated business unit roles with a solid core of well-defined enterprise-wide responsibilities

  • Work with data strategy and business leaders (offense) and risk and compliance (defense) to guide definition and implementation of required data (incl. data management) capabilities

  • Create and manage enterprise data principles (e.g., FAIR), frameworks, policies, and standards

  • Establish and manage forums and other routines to connect data and analytics teams across the enterprise

  • Establish and manage channels that enable enterprise-wide sharing of data uses cases and practices

  • Evangelize the enterprise data strategy, and embed it in our culture through training and other channels – helping all team members see how our data products matter, and understand their roles in managing those data products

What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in social sciences; advanced degree in business (preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in data governance, change or program management, or other corporate governance or communications function requiring creation and management enterprise-wide plans, frameworks, and policies

  • 10+ years of combined experience in more than one data management discipline (data privacy, data quality, metadata, data usage & ethics, etc.)

  • 5+ years experience leading teams across locations and units (directly and indirectly)

  • 5+ years experience using data and / or analytics to deliver business results, including experience working with cloud and big data technologies

  • Demonstrated success helping teams collaborate and leading through conflict

  • Ability to influence through a variety of verbal and written channels, tuning content and messaging to the audience

  • Strength in understanding the perspectives of others, and drive to bring people together

  • Strength in quickly understanding objectives, both “what” and “why”, and connecting those across different teams and areas to create a compelling and actionable vision
