Head of Data, EVERFI

The Head of Data role will be responsible for leading all data activities for EVERFI to deliver customer value. Key responsibilities include defining the vision and strategy for the EVERFI data, analytics and reporting roadmap, including a focus on supporting internal operations and external data reporting tools. This is a senior leadership role within the product team, and the successful candidate will serve as a champion for the EVERFI data organization, technologies, processes, and policies. 

What you'll do:

• Establish and further a vision and strategy that delivers meaningful data and analytics innovation and revenue growth 

• Own the data and analytics roadmap and drive successful execution of key initiatives 

• Partner with Engineering and ensure relevant product backlog/requirement documentation (themes epics, stories, etc.) are well-defined and delivered in a timely fashion 

• Partner with internal stakeholders, customers and users to understand needs and opportunities, and incorporate key learnings into roadmap 

• Work in collaboration with other product disciplines and across other Blackbaud product lines 

• Manage relationship with the Blackbaud Data Center of Excellence to oversee data governance of the EVERFI product portfolio – including management of standards, practices, processes and technologies

• Lead and grow high performing data team to drive monetizable, data & insights products and services including CRA management and reporting 

• Oversee research team and key initiatives, including sponsored longitudinal efficacy research, improved assessment capabilities, evolved measures of impact, product and learner analytics and impact reporting 

• Provide thought leadership on issues related to data strategy and governance, and understand market trends and the competitive landscape 

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years of overall product management experience, including leadership and team management responsibilities 

• 5+ years of experience leading data and analytics teams, including ownership of vision, strategy and roadmaps 

• Experience managing data processes, meeting regulatory compliance requirements, and ensuring overall quality and security of products  

• Experience working in a SAFe or Agile environment 

• Experience defining and delivering SaaS-based products 

• Knowledge of CRA and CSR a plus

• Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling concepts and ETL functions as well as experience on cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure 

• Experience managing unstructured and structured data sources, including traditional relational stores, NoSQL databases, graph databases, etc. 

• Excellent leadership and influencing skills and a demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others with a comfort level of working without extensive staff resources 

• Strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers and presenting internally and externally; proven ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization  

• Ability to analyze and resolve challenges at both strategic and tactical levels 

• Adept at understanding and curious about new technologies, systems, and tools, including genAI
