Position Summary: A Project Control Analyst III develops and maintains integrated project schedules and cost forecasts for small to medium sized projects. This role provides advanced analysis of schedule and cost performance, prepares detailed reports, and proactively recommends strategies to keep projects on track. Analysts at this level apply strong financial acumen, lead forecasting and variance analysis, and may provide guidance to less experienced team members to strengthen project controls across Henderson Building Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the planning and scheduling activities for multiple small projects or for a medium sized project, integrating them into a master project schedule.
• Work closely with project managers and field leaders to keep schedules updated and inform them of any potential issues. Assist project managers with resource allocation and project timeline adjustments.
• Perform advanced forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow predictions for medium-scale projects, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Provide detailed scheduling reports and updates to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Ensure scheduling activities comply with company and client requirements.
• Lead regular meetings with project stakeholders to discuss schedule progress, potential issues and mitigation strategies.
• Assist the scheduling manager in efforts to integrate engineering design schedules with construction schedules, ensuring all project phases are synchronized.
• Prepare and maintain project costs forecast, spread reports, and schedule values.
• Lead the integration of cost and schedule reporting to support accurate decision making.
• Analyze trends in cost and cash position, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.
• Oversee the change management process, ensuring forecast reflect approved or potential changes.
• Complete all software training designated by HBS and stays abreast of the latest updates, trends and practices to make scheduling best in class.
• Stay current on knowledge of procurement, construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
• Actively seek advanced training opportunities and industry certifications.
• Pursue specialized training and participate in industry seminars and workshops.
• Assist scheduling manager with implementing procedures and recommend improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree or higher in construction, engineering or finance preferred. Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
• 5-7 years of experience in cost control or planning and scheduling preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Outbuild, and/or other Gantt charting software required.
• Procore, Outbuild and Microsoft Project certification and training strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to recommend and analyze pragmatic solutions for clients.
