About the role
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Sign-on Bonus: $2000.00
Location: Watertown, MA
Shift: Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 4 pm)
Wage Range: $28 - $31 per hour

What we’re looking for:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement required.
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screen required.
Approved DOT physical certification required.
SAP experience required.
IATA Certification
Experience using material handling equipment
Problem-solving & analytical skills
Written & verbal communication skills
Customer service focus, displaying a professional, can-do attitude.
High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies, and procedures
Must be able to lift 50lbs

Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Manage inventory across on-site and off-site locations, ensuring accuracy and availability.
Safely transport and deliver materials according to customer-defined schedules.
Build strong customer relationships through timely, professional service.
Load, unload, and organize materials in designated staging and storage areas.
Inspect incoming shipments for damage, document discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
Package and ship materials in compliance with regulatory and transportation standards.
Secure loads and ensure compliance with weight and safety regulations; apply vehicle placards as needed.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and report issues promptly.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and storage areas.
Perform desktop deliveries and operate delivery vehicles safely at all times.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other applicable standards.
Support lab operations, including Glasswash and eyewash station maintenance.
Maintain material integrity during handling and transport.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Process orders and deliveries using SAP & Avantor Inventory Management system.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and storage areas.
Perform desktop deliveries and operate delivery vehicles safely at all times.
