- Create experiments and tooling to detect and diagnose hardware/firmware/software health issues.
- Interface with external vendors and internal hardware, mechanical, power, thermal, manufacturing, and software engineers to understand system architecture to develop and execute test suites for various architectures.
- Develop test framework for large-scale test automation inside fleet during product development and after mass production.
- Develop and publish updates on resolutions and communicate findings internally.
- Develop visibility through data visualization and implement systemic solutions to hardware health issues.
- Implement remediations across software and hardware stack according to plan, while keeping a thorough procedural record and data log.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform root cause analysis of system failures and isolate the components/failure scenarios while working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive necessary discussion with external and internal teams on test specification and methodologies to improve test quality continuously.
- Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field, and three years of work experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation.
Requires three years of experience in the following: - 1. SATA and NVMe storage protocols
- 2. NAND Flash memory
- 3. Performance analysis, validation and qualification of Solid State Drives
- 4. Programming in Python, C, or C++
- 5. Software system design
- 6. Linux and scripting
- 7. Server architecture, components, changing systems configurations, and change impact measurement.
