Title: Hardware Electronics Engineer II
Location: Atlanta, US
Position Overview: The position requires conducting a thorough background investigation and characterization of a level 3 problem alert from our internal and external customers. The product support scope primarily includes NCR Voyix POS hardware products. After full characterization of the problem, the engineer is to develop and communicate clear actions to help drive to a solution. Documentation experience is needed as our problem investigations are summarized and uploaded into a knowledgebase for all NCR customer engineers and services teams to review and use for future guidance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough investigations of level 3 problems from customers.
Characterize problems and develop clear actions for resolution.
Document problem investigations and upload them to the knowledgebase.
Work on the design of electronic products, electronic product testing, and lifecycle management.
Integrate and stage POS systems.
Qualifications:
Experience in the design of electronic products.
Experience in electronic product testing.
Experience in lifecycle management.
Experience with POS system integration and staging is a plus.
Ability to work independently on defined action plans.
Good communication skills for working with internal resources, including customer and support engineers, as well as SW and HW design engineers.
Experience in direct communication with customers via email and incident reporting systems, using proper and respectful tone.
