The Guest Services Host position is highly interactive with our guests in a dynamic and fun working environment. Located throughout the Museum, our host team provides excellent customer service through ticket & membership sales or while operating one of our exciting experiences. You’ll welcome our guests to the Museum at the ticketing desk, usher our guests into one of our theaters, operate a virtual reality experience, and more while setting the tone for a great Museum experience. You’ll even get to see an Infinity movie or Planetarium show in the process. How can you beat that?
Job Class: Three-Quarter Time
Hiring Range: $20.00/hour
Work Schedule: 4 days, 30 hours per week
Essential Duties
- Provides engaging and meaningful guest experiences through outstanding customer service and assistance at various Museum venues.
- Uses ticketing system for point of sale transactions, membership enrollment/renewal, and basic sales order.
- Ushers guests into the Infinity Theater: check tickets, distributes and collects glasses, provides customer service as needed in the theater.
- Ushers guests into the Planetarium Theater: check tickets, runs show controls and provides service in the theater.
- Operates Virtual Reality Experience: Orient guests to the experience, assist with VR headsets, engaging in basic technology troubleshooting as needed.
- Provides a welcoming, safe and fun environment for our guests through outstanding service and guest assistance.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Able to work holidays, weekends, and evenings
- 1 years’ experience in a fast paced service environment.
Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have
- Excellent customer service
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English)
- Cash handling experience
