Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to their assigned GM worksite, five days per week and to respond to the site in the event of an emergency after hours, on weekend or holidays.
The Role:
The GSC Launch Floor Execution Coordinator is a salaried Global Supply Chain role responsible for supporting plant launch readiness and executing material flow activities on the plant floor for launch builds, trial events, and ramp-up activity. This role works directly in the plant environment and partners closely with launch leadership, operations, warehouse teams, LMS, logistics, suppliers, engineering, and the GSC Launch Material Flow Coordinator to ensure material is available, staged, delivered, presented correctly, and ready to support launch execution.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Coordinate floor-level launch readiness for key milestones, trial builds, ramp-up events, and production readiness activities.
- Partner and work closely with the GSC Launch Material Flow Coordinator to align office planning with plant-floor execution needs.
- Monitor point-of-use material availability and help ensure parts are ordered, routed, received, staged, and delivered to support build timing and daily requirements.
- Support in-plant execution for storage, repack, unloading, dock flow, overflow control, line fill, plant location readiness, and material presentation.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate shortages, damaged material, misroutes, container issues, storage constraints, and other launch risks that could disrupt execution.
- Work directly with plant operations, logistics, LMS, suppliers, planners, and engineering to resolve material flow issues quickly and protect the build schedule.
- Support launch meetings, launch wall reviews, layout reviews, shortage discussions, and daily follow-up tied to material readiness and recovery actions.
- Verify floor conditions related to safety, PIV, equipment laydown, material presentation, storage readiness, unloading flow, and execution support for launch events.
- Maintain clear communication on open issues, floor concerns, material risks, and recovery actions with leadership and partner teams.
- Support plant LMS and automation readiness; planning, trials and execution
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Experience supporting supply chain, materials, launch, plant operations, logistics in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, follow-up, and timing control skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to issues, and escalate risks appropriately in a fast-paced launch environment.
- Working knowledge of material flow, inventory control, storage strategy, shipping, plant material systems, and operational readiness.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions quickly, and maintain urgency on the plant floor.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in global supply chain, materials, launch, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or plant operations.
- Experience supporting a new program launch, major product change, plant uplift, or launch execution activity.
- Familiarity with Launch Wall, OSTS, PFEP, LMS, MGO and related launch-readiness tools or systems.
- Experience with shortage management, storage planning, dock coordination, unloading processes, line-side delivery, inventory controls, or supplier readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
