Group Leader - Analytical - Hydro Systems Analysis

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of simulation engineers to support internal customers with analytical evidence for proof of concept design.
• Work closely with testing teams to correlate and implement improvement in simulation models.
• Collaborate with Schaeffler regional and global colleagues to share best practices for CAE simulation tool chains and lessons learned.
• Advise internal customers in all matters regarding hydrodynamic and thermal simulations, and design improvement recommendations to meet requirements.
• Prepare recommendations and decision-making reports for Research & Development management to initiate methodological changes.
• Maintain clear communication with internal customers to advise on design decisions and actively participate on internal cross-functional teams.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to simulate complex systems and articulate results in a straightforward, concise manner to support Schaeffler design teams.
• Ability to present and discuss simulation topics with external customers.
• Experience in torus development and/or torque converter design.
• Experience/exposure to simulation tools such as ANSYS CFX or Fluent, SPH (PreonLab, nFX, Dive), or other CFD codes.
• Experience/exposure to turbomachinery design or tools such as Ansys BladeGen.
