Groundskeeper Senior - Main Grounds - Full Time - Days

To maintain, install, inspect the landscaping and grounds for the main hospital campus and other off-campus locations as determined.

1. Conduct landscaping & grounds maintenance, installation and seasonal projects (mowing, edging, planting, weeding, etc.)

 

2. Keep exterior grounds, parking and garage areas clean (sweeping, leaf removal, etc.)

 

3. Perform routine grounds/cleaning duties in various locations as assigned (trimming, pruning, waste removal, etc.)

 

4. Responsible for assisting with grounds / snow removal duties.

 

5. Oversee responsibilities of specific project and/or areas (i.e., Policing Parking Garages, Seasonal Plantings, Snow Removal) as directed by the Grounds Department Supervisor/Leader.

EDUCATION: High School Graduate

          

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:  Two (2) years required.  Experience overseeing grounds projects highly desired.

          

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Senior level knowledge of Grounds Department operations.  Requires moderate to heavy physical effort.  Good driving record with valid driver’s license.  Knowledge of operating landscaping / grounds equipment is a plus, but can be taught.  Ability to make good decisions while working independently.  Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues and while performing duties in a professional and safe manner.
